We hope you are having all some nice holidays.
We've been adding some more changes and a new beta update is ready for testing.

1 STEP REGISTRATION
This feature is not finished yet. However, if you start the app on a phone without any Evernote registered email you would get an option to "Start Now".
There is a setup account screen to change full username and email which is in progress. It wouldn't work now.
You may experience a crash here


GO PREMIUM
Not really a strong customer facing feature, but we wanted to raise awareness about this option.
Please let us now if the experience is not too disruptive.

NEW ACTION BAR
We've been working on tweaking the navigation on phone so we get closer to the Android guidelines.
You will notice that the action bar is now static at the top.
We also moved the sorting and filtering options to the list category.

We will be polishing the UI, and fixing bugs for the next days, so please feel free to comment those changes here for a quick feedback.

Looks great so far.

Have ported to my BB Playbook but this version crashes when I press on the 'Setup Account' option in the new location. Is this the part that you referred to that doesn't work yet or are you referring to new people who are going through the signup process?

I was doing some tag maintenance, and noticed a bug I hadn't seen before (doesn't mean that it wasn't there). This is on a Kindle Fire, so that's a tablet, if it matters:
* I started with list view of all notes
* open the tag panel, select a tag, say, "MyTag"
* note list adjusts accordingly
* select a note, and you get the note display with snippets of other notes with that tag running across the bottom of the screen.
* open the three-dot dropdown menu, and select Tag
* In the Tags: list, tap on the tag you are filtering on (in this example, "MyTag"), so that it's removed from the note.
* tap on Done, and the note display jumps around a bit, and then settles on a blank note display, with the orange circle animation running over the three-dot dropdown menu icon
* at this point, you can select any of the notes in the note snippet list below, slide it back and forth, whatever, and nothing happens. If you hit the back button, you go back to the tag-filtered list, and you're OK

"New noteworthy events." Very interesting. I think I like it but I'm not sure yet Is it going to pull from anything besides pictures?

I'm seeing trouble with note links. Attempting to open a note from a note link results in "Unfortunately, Evernote has stopped".
Evernote has not actually stopped just the "Open" attempt. It jumps back a bit, failing to open the note & closing the note with the link.

The notes will open if searched for.

I'm having the same issue with note links.

When the "interesting new content is available" notification comes up (i.e., you detect some new photos or such that might be notable)

1. the top-left elephant icon doesn't take you "back" to the main application screen... it should, otherwise the user's learning is being undone, and you are losing an opportunity to keep the user in the app for a new note
2. sometimes there's no content there... I'm guessing that's when you snoop a new google+ photo upload, but the user deletes it before following the notification. Probably best to put some text in the empty screen like "Oops, that photo not available any longer" or something"?

Audio recording is still borked (Nexus 4 JB 4.2.2)

Update: On the Nexus 4, the audio looks like it is being recorded and stored, but always has zero length...
But the note that is pushed through to my mac client has sound and plays it. So the bug is in sound playback on the Android device

I think that image editing is destructive on the current beta.

• Take photo note on android phone
• Use the on-phone edit option: Make no changes, just return to the note
• Sync to desktop

• Image is deleted... :-(
• Image still present on phone: Share a URL - no image in note, says "edited"
