Controlling or modifying the graphic used in Snippet view

Is there a way to control the graphic that is displayed in the snippet view or modify it?

When the document is a pdf, it seems to grab the middle portion of the first page of the PDF as the "thumbnail".
When its a clipped note it grabs a graphic but I can't determine which or change.
And sometimes with a clipped not it doesnt use the graphic at all, even though the clipped page has one.

Here is a link to Evernote's rule of the "Largest Smallest Dimension" controlling which graphic is shown.

That should make everything clear as mud.
