How do I delete a note? I am using Evernote on an iPhone 4S. I have the latest update.

I just got this app and I really want to like it, but it does NOT seem to be user friendly at all, and how can I delete a note??? The most basic function seems hidden.... Help :)

Open the note and then drag down and you'll expose the search and trash controls.

Horrible and unintuitive design.

When viewing a list of notes, you can swipe from left to right and a Delete button shows up to delete that one note. I'm not positive, but I think this is a fairly standard way to delete items on the iPhone - I know I swipe to delete in lots of other apps as well.

Evernote user since forever.

I use the Mac, iOS, and Windows clients

So how do you delete a note (or notes) in Evernote 5 with only the card view?
Do you have to open each note individually and hit the trashcan in the toolbar?

Press, hold, and wait for the black circle with the white X to appear. It works just like deleting apps does on your home screen.

Thanks GrumpyMonkey, that was what I was looking' for.
I wasn't used to press and hold, I was looking to swipe to delete.
Thanks again...

I am sorry, but "it works" is a bit of an exaggeration.

It does not work on notes in search results, it does not work on notes in notebooks, it does not work on notes accessed through tags, it does not work on places, it does not work on recent notes.

It works only in unfiltered search results previously known as "All Notes"

OMG! I cannot believe I've wasted so much time opening notes just to delete them! Thanks!

Could it be that this tap-and-hold-to-delete-a-note-in-card-view feature has been removed with the latest update? On my iPhone 5 with the newest version of Evernote App (5.3.1) installed I find myself not being able to tap-and-hold to delete any more. I have been accustomed to this for months, so I am quite confident that there's nothing I'm doing wrong.

If you want a new idea, read an old book.
