In the last few days, when I go into an existing note, the pen icon that let me edit that note is no longer there. Is there a new way to edit? Thanks in advance.

Hello sbmargo,
I think you have updated you iOS app. In new app edit part is improved and you can start editing your note by clicking on content of it.
Thanks

I wonder how the Evernote designers expected most users to know about this change?
Please add Features Missing in EN Mac that are in EN Win.

Well, GM, maybe you are more thorough than I, but I routinely update bunches of my iPhone and iPad apps without ever reading any of the update notes. I just click the "Update All" button in the App store. I suspect many others do the same.
Some of my apps present a one-time message when I open it after the update providing info about significant changes, and even a link to their web site for more details.
I find this very helpful.

The update screen is a great venue for developers to communicate to users about what they have been up to, so I always read it for apps that matter. I don't bother with all of them, of course.
I loathe those informational roadblocks myself, but I hear people actually read through them, and on desktops they even watch intro videos. In principle I hate to be highjacked (popups, etc.), but I concede that I am probably an outlier in this regard.

That's what I do, too. I also often delay updating critical apps If I'm in a situation/time frame where I'm using them often. As long as the critical app is working for me & I'm in a situation where I'm relying on it, I don't want to introduce new functionality/possible bugs/etc into the mix.
I'm sure this is one of those things where you're always going to be "falling short" in someone's eyes. Since we know how EN imparts their information & it's up to us, the users, to use that. If we elect to not read the update info, that's certainly our choice. But it's then unfair to criticize EN for not jamming the info into the users' face.
I'm not affiliated with Evernote. I'm just an Evangelapologist. Evernote is an integral part of my life.
