Hello Windows users!

We have a Windows 4.5.8 RC up and ready. It has improved image rotation and bug fixes for the Account toolbar icon, horizontal line keyboard shortcut and a few other little things.

I also think I forgot to mention earlier, we have a keyboard shortcut to increase and decrease font sizes. That's Ctrl+ and Ctrl -

The update is available at: http://evernote.s3.a..._4.5.8.7345.exe

If you've opted into betas, go to "Help" >> "Check for Updates"

Shortcut for horizontal line works again now, thanks :)

Hotkeys for changing size of selected text is nice, pretty sure people will like that.

I never really used image rotation much in previous builds, so can't definitively comment on improvements, other than to say that it works. I think it may be a little faster, but not too sure.

One thing that I am noticing recently, but I am not sure if it is related to this beta or not, is ghost items after removing them from the favourites bar. Dragging another item causes it to disappear.

I recall seeing a post about ghosting - don't recall whether it was fixed or not.

Thanks for posting. We haven't seen any other issues about ghost items from the favorites bar. We'll try to reproduce that issue internally

It happens most of the time for me. I know it will leave a ghost label there because it is still visible to me when the cursor changes to the no-entry sign (meaning it will be removed from the toolbar)

Since it is still visible when that happens, I know it will stay there.

EDIT:

In testing a little more, I think it only happens when you release the mouse while the cursor is over the area containing the sort options/view options and search bar.

That area is results in the ghost image 100% of the time.

It is not just limited to items from favourites bar either. Dropping a note/notebook/tag on that area causes the logo to be ghosted.

It seems, basically anything that can be dragged and dropped on that space, sees this issue.

My new favourite key press sequence. Ctrl+A, Ctrl++ (and repeat as necessary).

Does a grand job of fixing those 6 point clips.

That's all well & good; I find myself wishing that Ctrl++ and Ctrl+- would work as in most browsers: zoom the display of the content without actually changing the content. Definitely in my nice-to-have bucket...

I thought that as well initially. Then I realized that if the font needed to be increased in EN Windows, then, it also probably needed to be increased in any other client.

Editing the note does just that.

I seem to have lost the ability to drag and drop MS Office files into Outlook 2007. PDF's are working fine. Nothing comes over, though the system does seem to be thinking for a minute.
