I'm using Evernote Food for Android. When I take pictures with the app or add previous pictures to the app they are uploaded in lower quality than the originals (the max resolution the app allows is 1536×1536). The regular evernote app seems to allow uploading in original quality. This is problematic for two reasons. First, when I look at the pictures on a computer or tablet later, they are somewhat grainy. Second, I need to keep the original pictures backed up somewhere (instead of just on evernote) since I want to have them in good quality. Is there any way around this and will evernote increase the resolution for the food app?

We might revisit full-res images in the future, once users have better data connections, but for the time being we feel that 1536px is a good compromise that allows formatted images to fill an iPad Retina display while still uploading fast enough to share your meal while at a restaurant. If you'd like to use your original images (i.e. full resolution, non-cropped) outside of Evernote Food, just enable the option in Settings and they will be saved directly to your device's gallery - on Android this is: Settings > Image Options > Add Photos to Gallery

It may be easier to take the photos first and then share it onto Evernote Food after, of course you do want to eat your food instead of fiddling around with the app, right? RIGHT?

This way, the pictures will always be saved on Food and on your phone/device.
