Hi

For some reason PDFs on my ipad evernote are displaying at a very low resolution, making it difficult to read text.
I scanned in some A4 size pdf`s and uploaded them to evernote and sync`d across all platforms (I have evernote for the ipad, windows and android). The pdf look fine on windows and android, but for some reason the only platform that i`m having problems with is the ipad. Its as if the zoom compression is stuck at its lowest setting, so when I zoom in i still see the highest zoom rendering.

Anyone have an idea whats going on??
I`ve attached a photo of my document zoomed right in on my ipad.

Thanks alot.

Paul

Hi. Welcome to the discussion forums!

Sorry to hear about your problem viewing PDFs. I haven't seen anything like that, and I view a lot of PDFs, so I am quite curious about this. Could you share the note with the PDF in it? If you post a link to that, we can go to the note, put it into our accounts, and give it a whirl. We can give a lot more help with this data. Thanks!

Thanks Paul. I am at a loss. I haven't ever seen anything like this. On the iPad I see the answers to questions 1 and 2 are a mess, but the ones to 3 and 4 are fine. And, it looks exactly the same on the Mac. So, at first I wanted to say that the PDF software messed everything up, but in a bizarre way.

HOWEVER, on the Web I see a PDF with beautiful lines everywhere. The PDF is fine. I would definitely file a support ticket with Evernote (see my signature) and include a link to that shared note. I am guessing that this PDF has something odd inside. When I open it with Adobe Acrobat Pro, it does a kind of funky shift at first. I don't usually see that.

Please tell us what they say. I'd be interested to know.

Thanks. I havent had much time to check but i think i may have found what it is, its to do with having mixed raster content within the pdf when saving it out. Turning this off fixes the problem. It was also flaky on the android, crashing the viewer. Although strangely the pdf is about 4x the size with it off.

I`ll report back if I find out anymore.

Thanks

Paul
