I know that if I attach an image to an email I can create a note with that image in it, but is there a way to email a link to an image to create a note that pulls in the image instead of linking to it?

If you put an absolute URL into ... in a proper HTML email, I believe our mail gateway will retrieve the image and insert it at that location.
