My name is Andrew Coy. I am an educator in Baltimore, Maryland who works with teachers from across school districts with technology integration in their classroom. I have been using Evernote for a number of years now and have some ideas for ways specific applications could be made for education. I recently just presented on Evernote at the International Society for Technology in Education's annual conference to a packed room of more than 180 teachers. During and after the session we all brainstormed ways to use Evernote and I am connected to more than 200 teachers who want to use Evernote more in their classroom. I am looking for Evernote developers who would be interested in collaborating with teachers to develop, test, and refine these concepts. Please feel free to contact me via this thread or on twitter at @andrewcoy.

I might be able to do something for you. Also, I've just created an android app called Revunote that does spaced repetition. Its currently an entry for the devcup and available on Google Play in the Education category. I've been trying to create something like this for a long time and finally Evernote has made it possible with their API. I'm afraid I only have Android & Java capability coding wise but I'm also a business analyst used to specifying IT systems. I do project management when I need to and also testing based on specifications.
PS. If its of interest, its at www.revunote.com

Thanks so much for the quick response to my post!
I'd love to work individually with any of you either on your project or the project I am proposing. Essentially, my proposal deals with document-management in a 1:1 classroom setting (where every student has a device). I have used Evernote over the past year in an attempt to eliminate or at least reduce paper in my classroom. I have made a few base template question notes that I wanted to then "pass out" to each individual student with whom I had previously created a shared note. That way (with my premium account) they could answer the questions I posed and I could even then grade and respond (in text or audio) to their answers -- all without having to pass out papers or collect them. The problem I kept running into though was that I had to right-click and copy the "template" note to each student shared folder individually, which of course adds up after the 60th or so student. There is more to it than just being a way to "hand out" Evernotes but that is the gist of it and I would love to chat with anyone in greater depth about it. The only thing I ask is that if you are interested on working on it, you do contact me as I would like to be involved in the process as much as possible.

Hi. I think this would be a great opportunity for third-party developers, and I wish you luck!
One alternative you might want to consider is email. You can email the template to all of your students at once (using their Evernote email addresses -- enter them into a group in your contact list) and you can even have it tagged and sent directly to a specific notebook. Students can email back to you, directing it to a notebook you have made to share with everyone, tagging it with their name, or sending it into a notebook you set up for them.
Well, at least in theory I think you can do this. I haven't actually tested it yet. Summer vacation has made it something I can put off trying until the Fall. If you do try it, let me know how it goes!

There is an Evernote for Schools forum as well (You look like a new member). I think I read about something like what you are looking for in the stuff on portfolios. Afraid I am not quite sure where.
