Hi. Welcome to the user forums!

It depends on which client you are using, but I think the desktop clients are becoming more standardized, and should work pretty much the same. You do your search, select your notes (CMD + a on the Mac), right-click on the notes (two-finger tap in Lion, depending on how you have the trackpad set up), and you'll see a field at the bottom of the screen on the right giving you the option to enter a tag.

Thanks 不機嫌な猿. It seems that CONTROL-A selects all!

Glad I could help. If it is CONTROL + A, then that reveals you as a Windows user :) I believe you may also have a keyboard shortcut of some kind (see the menu) to help you out in this regard.

GrumpyMonkey is correct, if you are a windows user, then the Right click option "Tag Notes" does have a shortcut - Ctrl + Alt +T ;)

GM, I'm running EN Mac 3.2.0 Beta 2 and I do not see any Tag options associated with right-clicking on the selection.

What I see is that as soon as you select more than one Note, the multi-select UI appears in the Note content panel, proving you with an option to enter Tags, as well as other choices.

Thanks JM. You're right. You don't have to right-click. I was on the iPad and doing it from memory. I guess that proves how good/bad my memory is :)

Yep, I learn long ago to not make a recommendation that I have not recently verified for myself. Software often changes, and sometimes for the worse.

I have not learned this lesson. I continue to hold out hope that my brain can keep the steps straight. Otherwise, I'd never be able to post anything here, because I am usually on the iPad, and that forum is so quiet these days. I don't know if that is a good or bad thing.

I'll be working out of my office in a few weeks, and I'll have a Nexus 7, so then I can have Evernote staring out at me from a Windows, Mac, iPad, and Android device all at once. I am tempted to experiment with syncing and simultaneous note changes :)
