Yo.

That "smart cover" simulator in Peek is nothing short of terrible. It feels gimmicky, and it just feels bad. You can keep the design the way it is, but instead of swiping up, just allow us to touch the one-of-three files we want to either open or close, so if you touch the middle field, you open up the bottom and the middle field, and if you touch the middle field again, you close down the middle field, but the bottom field remains open, until you click that.

Only one kind of portrait mode is available, so you'll always have the charger on your right while using it. This conflicts with quite a few cases, in case we didn't shell out a gazillion for a smart cover.

Availability. If we can't download other peoples flashcard collections, this app falls short to a lot of competitors, so if you can't make it compatible to Quizlet, i seriously doubt that you'll see a lot of people using it. Connecting it to Quizlet on the other hand, would likely make it one of the strongest (and best looking) flashcard apps on the market.

Peace!

Thank you for the feedback. We'll consider it when improving the app.

Agree with Bob here that the simulated cover feels a little gimicky and it isn't always as responsive as I'd like. It would be much better if you had the option just to tap to open/close the sections, I'd even use it in preference to the smart cover I actually have!

A MUCH bigger shortcoming though is the limitation on the clue length and the lack of formatting on the answer. These are show stoppers for me; which is unfortunate as I've started a notebook with a lot of short questions/answers already only to hit this limitation now. I wish it'd been highlighted earlier. :(

The image cropping in the answer makes this useless for me.

I think Peek has a lot of potential as an integration with Evernote, I am fine with the smart cover ($40 doesn't seem like a gazillion to me, especially as a cover for a $600+ device), and I am fine with the virtual cover (though a tap option would be nice, as I mention in the linked post), but there is a lot more work to be done. I've got a whole list of things :)
