After sign-in from the Evernote home page, my account will load and display ok, but if I leave to view a note, I'm out with a white page [saying 'Error on page' in lower left corner] and can't get back in because I'm signed in. This is Internet Explorer 8 and I'm Windows XP Pro SP3 32 [up-to-date] and have up-to-date Java enabled. I have tried optimizing my browser, Internet Explorer 8 by checking all the boxes under 'Delete Browsing History' and that doesn't seem to work. As for 'Settings' for the browser - I'm not sure what I am looking at so I have not an idea if a scripting problem as am novice user. If I 'refresh', I get from 'Error on Page' to a 'Done' in the lower left message corner. Anything else I can Try? I'm not sure approiate to attach and upload copy of page source here.

I tried 'completely' optimizing the IE 8 browser again, allowing all cookies [with the slide bar down to 0],
enabling all the scripting allowed, under privacy 'removed' all exempted sites and still get a blank page.

Next, tried opening IE 8 without add-ons [I have 2] and that didn't make any difference.

Then I tried a 'bing' "evernote.com/home.action" Error on page and found another thread here that did not
show when I when I did the Evernote Forum search.
It's from Member Mr. LBWood over here:

http://discussion.ev...-sign-in-error/.

Soon as I looked at it a little I said 'This guy has the same problem as I in IE 8 WinXP'.
So, it's a sign-in problem with that "Remember me for a week" box checked thing,
OK, so I thought of a way to get myself out of this mess and back into Evernote.

Go evernote.com > Create Account [you can't click sign-in again or you'll just get the blank page again because you're
already signed in] > at the Create Account window, then click Sign-in and you'll get the sign-in window again and when
you sign in again your back into your Evernote on Web page. Do not check that Remember me for a week box ever
again and after the week runs out you should be OK...but

When you leave to open one of your links make sure it's in a new tab or a new window and not the tab that you're
in, or you will have to perform this sign-in behavior every time you return to your Evernote on Web page.

Just so you are aware, evernote.com/home.action will fail to work, for a couple of reasons.

There needs to be www, and the Home must be capitalised. The correct link would be:
https://www.evernote.com/Home.action

That said, you are signing in and seeing nothing, which is odd.

Does this occur in any other browsers?

I think you would be best suited submitting a support request with Evernote at the bottom of this page:

I guess I could have taken better care in showing the link as it really is https://www.everntoe.com/Home.action and additionally the tail for my specific page, which bookmarked,
will only bring me back to a blank page if I'm signed-in, with 'Error on page' in the status bar. I did submit a support request with Evernote's staff and have received two replies:

1) Please ensure your web browser is set to allow all scripts and cookies to be set from Evernote.com. This can be checked by going to your content and privacy settings.
Also, if you have any addons, you will wish to try disabling any that modify website contents or add an exception for Evernote.com.
If this fails, please try another web browser to determine if the issue is limited to just that one specific browser or all you try with.

I did the best I could, setting the scripting to 'Allow mixed content' and don't really know what specific settings' changes that the Evernote pages need as I've never been much off 'Default' before.
I tried the slide bar for cookies all the down to 0 and that didn't make any difference.

2) Could you please try using a different browser or updating your IE8 browser?
Some of our users have reported to have issues with Internet Explorer 8.
We look forward to your response.

As for updating my IE8 browser, I have it as up-to-date as my Windows XP Pro SP3 updates would allow. I wouldn't know exactly how to do just IE8 by itself.
--Not sure if the Evernote Support Staff means move on to IE9 as the update?, I can't do that in WinXP because it doesn't support the 'Privacy mode' security components and the 'DivX' graphics components
that it requires to run in Windows 7.

So, yes, I tried Firefox and it seems to work fine there now. I'd left Firefox back when it was Firefox 8 and came back to Internet Explorer 8 because I couldn't get the Evernote Web Clipper to work in Firefox 8.
I guess I'll have to change back to Firefox now.
