Moved to the appropriate topic area. We're leaving this up, but in the future when someone swings by to try and draw attention to an integration, it'd be nice to see an argument made to the community about why they should go vote for the integration, rather than providing a link off the forum. Start a discussion here, and people might listen.

Cheers!

Hi. Welcome to the forums.

No one said you were a spammer. It's just that this is a discussion forum, and I think many of us were looking forward to discussing why integration with Evernote would be desirable. I was hoping you would present your case for it. I have tried the app, but I don't know enough about it yet to say much.

When there is only a link to another site, then it just leads people away, and there is no discussion, which kind of defeats the purpose of a discussion board :)

If you looked Im supporting your user who wants Paper devs to put in fixed En api in place of send to app --not ''presenting a case''. Ill change my support and asked 53 Champ to remove thread from there board --so not bothered to talk up En.

-1 En.

My comment wasn't meant to be rude, and I'm certainly not suggesting that you take off the post on Get Satisfaction. We were only asking that you provide some additional information so that users on this board could have some more info upfront to discuss. More info here will help drive traffic to your cause, aid when a user searches for Paper here, and additional information just helps drive user traffic over there (I need to learn to quit repeating myself). Apologies if I gave offense with my initial comment.

Our discussion boards are quite open. We have often have lively debate here on all sorts of topics. I believe the point of the above posts is not that we had anything wrong with the actual desire to have an integration into a product we've never heard of, but instead that there was no incentive for anyone here to help your cause, as the only information we had was "click this link".

The majority of our users are not inclined to click andom links that take them to other websites, as they're rather security conscious. So, we were merely attempting to help drive more traffic for you by giving you the guidance for what kind of info our members look for. As you appear not to be interested in helping paper fifty three after all we'll be happy to delete the thread in its entirety . Or, you can explain why you feel this type of integration would be beneficial so our users can decide whether or not to support it themselves.

A triple post often provides extra emphasis :)

Paper is a nice app, not sure it provides much more than a whole bunch of other apps that already support Evernote integration though,

Maybe a brussel sprout or dead horse image here would help a bit? :)

From the images posted in the link in the initial post, it appears that they have added EN to paper?

Cool, more app integration with Evernote. :)

I, for one, am confused. First, the above is not true. EN certainly does not *need* this thing called Paper.

Second, ridiculing the devs is very bad form.

Third, I still don't quite understand OP's relationship with Paper. He/she seems a bit defensive for someone who says they are just trying to help out. Either way, a couple of times, OP has been asked to explain why this integration could be beneficial & has refused to do so, indicating the onus Is on Evernote. Also bad form.

And I, like Heather, have never heard of Paper. Nor does this thread motivate me to do so.

Paper came out a few weeks ago and received a lot of attention on MacRumors and other places. If you have some artistic talent (something I apparently lack) you can create stunning works of art on it.

I downloaded it and gave it a try. Nothing I drew looked especially nice, but then again, I am not an artist! I did not make the in-app purchases. Perhaps I would have gained more functionality that way. For notetaking, I would say GoodNotes is far superior.

I agree with the OP. The more Evernote integration the better. However, I think that is true about every app I use :) I am unclear about the benefits of this particular app, or why users on this forum should be enthusiastic enough about the application to go and advocate for this over there.

Personally, I would be much more excited if Penultimate added the long-requested zoom functionality. Now that Evernote has acquired it, I am hoping we'll see the app improve to compete more effectively with other notetaking apps and even drawing apps like Paper.

Anyhow, the developers of the Paper app seem to be rather well-known and capable, so I am sure they could integrate the app more effectively if they wanted to do it. After all, Evernote has given them all of the tools. I would say the onus is on them :)

i had no interest in Paper>En or why its wanted. Lots of posts in diferent threads on paper board keep asking for it. Paper has it ALREADY in send to app. I got an email from YOUR subs asking for support for api. gave it, came here and got a kicking. after I asked 53 champ to post mock pics of how +api might look. Like @grumpymonkey I thought +En=better. I know better now-- OK??? I thought En iPad forum was right place. sori got that wrong. thought this one was for ppl to talk about their pets!!!!

Locking this thread since it appears to be non-productive.
