Within the forum: when I search for tag I get no results, when I search for tags, I get results. That seems a little odd doesn't it?

The forum search isn't the best, and there are other threads on the subject.
As far as I know, EN know about it, and are working on it. Though that was a little while ago.

In addition to the search on the forum, I would also suggest the google site search.

While it lacks some forum features (read/unread etc.) it is easier to find what you are looking for.

site:discussion.evernote.com <search term1> <search term2>

Another thread on the subject:
http://discussion.ev...t-find-clearly/

I found that one through google, using the above search, with two keywords, Search and JMichael (A user who I knew had posted on the subject)

If you have a good idea of what you want to find, the google search will reveal relatively useful results. The more search terms, and key words, the better. :)

That said, perhaps EN could comment on the current status of the searching within the forum? :)</search></search>

The Evernote Forum Search is not your friend.

Yes, I brought this issue up last month.

Scroll down and you will see a comment from GBarry. Evernote is looking into using Google in their search.

Thanks. I tried searching the website on more than one occasion and find it almost as enjoyable to search as the forums and knowledge base. And I am very apt with booleans and structuring searches. That is why I found it to be surprising..

And the structure/hierarchy of the website is not as staight forward as it could be. C'est tout.

In my opinion, every resource Evernote offers online is bad to terrible. This forum is about the best there is (which is why I spend time here), but far from perfect, and also not 100 percent controlled by Evernote (the software, and thus the search problems, belong to another company, and we users supply the vast majority of the content).
Using Mac version 3.2.0 beta 1 on OSX 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard), web occasionally, and Chrome clipper (and Windows once upon a time).
