There seems to be a weird conflict within recent versions of Chrome and the https everywhere extension (https://www.eff.org/https-everywhere) which prevented me from logging in to the forum (and creating a display name for the forum) even though I was logged in to the Evernote page and could view my notebooks. In any of the non-https evernote web pages, it showed me as not signed in. To sign in to the forum I had to temporarily disable the extension. I thought I would bring it up here in case other people were also having this problem. I believe the best way to fix this problem long term would be make every page secure (including the Evernote forum and not just the sign in page), but unfortunately I don't see that happening soon. I have submitted a bug report of the issue to the https everywhere developers.
Anish

Edit: Fixed a grammatical error.

[Moving to the off-topic section, since the forum software isn't related to or owned by Evernote.]
Using Mac version 3.2.0 beta 1 on OSX 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard), web occasionally, and Chrome clipper (and Windows once upon a time).

Thanks for the heads up Anish. I'll keep the issue in my sights--I haven't heard any complaints on this being a problem from any other users, but if it becomes too big of an issue we'll look into it.

I'm currently having this problem. I had to turn off the https-everywhere plugin to reply here.

Thanks to this thread I was able to locate the problem!

I do not use this plugin, but I cannot sign into the forums using the Chromium Browser on Linux, but Firefox works fine. Everry time I click on the sign-in link it takes me to a new tab showing the forum it welcomes me and says I am a guest.

Thanks for reporting. I've flagged for our vendors and we'll see if we can't sort out this SSO issue.

Could not reproduce with new install of Ubuntu 12.04 & Chromium 18. Will retest after I have finished software updates (still in process).

FYI: LastPass was active before the test and properly auto-filled the username and password fields.

same here too. What I did to login was enter my evernote username and password, after that it's a hit and guess session clicking the 'sign in' button on the top right of the evernote forum page until I log in.
