I've been using Evernote for a few years now but recently I've been needing to do screen captures the old Windows way: ALT+PRINT SCRN
When I try it with Evernote open, it does not do anything. I suspect that Evernote's Clip Screenshot feature is interfering with what I'm trying to do. Has anybody figured out a way to print screen the old school Windows way?

I just found out about the Screenshot feature by 1) reading it here, and 2) Googling the details.
<Exclamation Point!>
I've been an intensive user for a few years now so I probably read about it at some early stage then carefully forgot about it - full screenshots aren't something I use at all, so I've had no need of the feature. Trying it out today I was convinced that it didn't work for me.. until I checked the content of Windows Clipboard and found the picture.
The instructions I've got just say "hit prtscrn while the Evernote client is open". I don't get any cursor animation of any option to choose the area being grabbed, but if I then paste the Clipboard into a paint app, I get a full copy of my desktop. In my case that's three screens wide, so I don't see a great deal of use for the pic...
So: to answer your question, I suspect it is working for you, but like me you're not seeing any fireworks when the grab occurs. Try pasting into a paint app and see what happens!

I run the third-party tool ClipSpy.exe. his shows me what's on the clipboard at any one time.
I open up Evernote.
I Press Alt+Print Screen.
Immediately, ClipSpy shows me that there is a BITMAP on the clipboard (also available in a couple of other formats).
I am guessing that Alt+Print Screen is working.
