Good evening all


Problem : Drag notes to the favourites bar
but when they are clicked do not link to / activate the relevant note (ie does nothing).

I have shared a note which shows the issue with a small screencast.

This is on windows 7 only (2 x PCs), my winXP system is fine

any other win7 users experiencing this? is it me?, or a bug?

Hi all

I am having the same problem here.

Whatever I create a favourite and click on it, nothing happen. It could be a notebook favourite or a note favourite or a tag favourite or a search favourite, nothing work.

Can some guys from the EN support could help on this?

Can't reproduce this.

Was there a resolution to this? I am having a similar problem where some favourite shortcuts are unresponsive whilst others do work (with no real logic to that)

Hrmm, I didn't realize we still had this problem, if there's a consistent way to reproduce this, please let me know. It'd be interesting to see if it affects only Win7 or some other subset of users

I have the same problem using Windows 7.

I have the same issue on Windows 7. Saved searches work fine when selected from the left panel, but not after they're dragged to the favorites bar. Restore Defaults has no effect. Right now, I can't even get the Web Clips/Mobile/Files buttons do anything!

Hi again

This Fav bar issue still remains with my win 7 systems, I can no longer verify my findings with xp as no longer have access to an XP box.

anyhow, I narrowed it down on my system to the date of the note, this is a pretty freaky analysis but it is the only logic I can provide at this time.

any note dated on or before the 16th Jan 2012 that is dragged to the Favourite Bar and clicked jumps to the note as expected

any note dated after this date does not !!!! . I have over 8,000 notes in my evernote.

Can someone else confirm this behaviour on their system?
This is a frustrating glitch, especially as it would appear not many other reports of it.

I still have this issue since my last post here.

Solution that has been provided to me by EN support did not work.

I have this problem on multiple PC (work, home).

Uninstall/Reinstall Evernote several times, install after first after full Windows 7 reinstall. Just doesn't work for me.

Any suggestions??

I am having the same problem here.

Same problem on Win 7 (x64): Nothing works on Favorites Bar except All Notes, Notebooks, and Tags. Neither Web Clips, Mobile, nor Files work, nor do any custom links I drag there. Oddly enough, it works fine on my other Win 7 x64 machine, with the same Evernote version (4.6.1.7860 (26836) Public).

I'm using Win 7 and latest public version of Evernote. I have had a problem with this for months.
I tried using the date to narrow my problem with the Favorites bar. With me, any note dated after May 23th, 2012 will not work
on the Favorites bar. Even changing the created and updated dates (which I realize is not a good solution) does not work.

Anyone else want to confirm that the problems that some of us are having may have to do with the date and/or Win 7?

Not seeing it in the latest beta (4.6.2.7880), on Win 7.
