(Archived) attached document : .pdf instead .jpg !!

Recommended Posts

Hello

I don't understand why.

When I drag&drop an image over Mail.app... the attached document type is a .pdf file ( The name of images ends with .pdf !! ) but When I copy paste the same image, the type is a .jpg file !!( as expected with my Skitch prefs )

On Mac ... no problem ... A mail with many images is fully readable.

But ...

On PC my mail is misinterpreted (images are not in the flux of the text but at the end on the text ( as attached document )

So... A mail with many images is incomprehensible

the behavior of copy pacte versus drag&drop is not the same.

Is that a bug ?

thank you

This difference (where an image is either placed in-line, or as an attachment) is decided by Mail.app. If you Drag & Drop into the body of an existing email in Mail.app, rather than dropping on to the Mail.app icon in the dock, you should be able to achieve the in-line placement of images you're after. All this behavior is decided by Mail.app. Hope that helps.

thank you Klang.

Skitch is the first software I see who created a.pdf file instead of a .jpg.

I copy the image who is in Skitch

I paste this image in Mail

but the image became an .pf file !

that's strange +++

isn't it ?

I do this action > 50 / day

There is an easy to use image editing online software available: “ReaConverter”, which is primarily intended for batch PDF to jpg and raw conversion. As a batch image converter and editor software, it offers all essential photo processing and image enhancements, the most helpful being re-size pictures, cropping, adjusting photo color, removing unwanted red-eye effect, applying artistic effects, watermarking, etc..
