[Sorry if this has been asked about before. I searched for this issue and only found one topic, from 2009, that's not exactly what I'm asking about.]
I usually use Evernote on my Mac. I also have a netbook that I take out with me when I'm traveling, and I had used the Windows client on that computer until it started getting really slow and buggy. To minimize the number of applications I have open, I just recently started using the web client, since I almost always have my browser open anyway.
When I view notes, the entire note is shown in the note panel on the right side of the very small screen (maybe 9 inches? 10? I don't know how big average netbook screens are, or how big mine is). But when I edit a note, the note panel expands beyond the edge of my screen and, if I have a full line of text, I can only see about two-thirds of it. (This is similar to a text box that allows for horizontal scrolling, rather than automatically wrapping text, or typing in a Word document when the page is wider than the window in which you're viewing it.)
I couldn't find any way to fix this, so my question is: Is there any way to get the web client to be smaller, to make it fit on the screen of a netbook when a note is being edited?

Using Mac version 3.1.1 on OSX 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard), web occasionally, and Chrome clipper (and Windows once upon a time).

2) I use a netbook with 10" display and 1024x600 pixels resolution. When I want to edit a note, I can't see all the options on the screen and it doesn't exist a scrollbar too. Can be done something about that?
Workarounds in this case are:
- Edit notes in List view, or
- Reduce zoom for the tab. Will make it less readable but the full edit toolbar will be visible and usable in Snippet view, or
- Hide left navigation panel. This should (barely) make edit in Snippet view usable in maximized browser window, or
- Pop out note to single note view window and maximize window

Thanks a lot, Owyn. Responding to those suggestions in order:
—List view does fix the problem I was having, but unfortunately it leaves the note editing panel (below the title, tags, URL, etc.) at 1.75 cm high, which is a new problem.
—Reducing zoom also works, and it doesn't make the text unreadable, but it does make it too small for me to see more than about half a meter from the screen.
—I can't figure out how to hide the navigation panel.
—Popping the note out works perfectly, though it adds time to the process, since my computer is such crap. If I have to edit for more than a half a minute or so, this is probably what I'll do, since it's exactly what I need to be able to type more than a little text.
Thanks again.

Double click the blue separator bar to the right of the navigation panel scroll bar to hide the panel. You will need to hover to make the bar appear.
Single click the blue bar to make the panel appear again.
