I have the same problem.

It seems there is a problem with the certificate, as when I checked the windows desktop version, the certificate had expired on 19/10/2011.

Perhaps its just outdated...

I stored the certificates used for https://www.evernote.com out of the certification path "VeriSign Class 3 Secure Server CA – G2" and the root Certificate from "Verisign" into Files using X 509 base 64 encoded X.509 (.cer) format. These two files I copied to the mobile device. By double clicking I installed both certificates. After that login is working fine.
