Firefly. Meh. (Granted, I only watched ~3 minutes of one after my DH was watching the TNT (I think?) FF marathon this past weekend after I told him Rick Castle (Nathan Fillion - sp?) is in the show. OTOH, I consider a lot of tv a waste of time. (Excluding things like Discovery/History channel type stuff.) So if something doesn't capture my interest in a few minutes, I'm happy to move on.

Firefly is not for the short of attention BNF. Stop posting here and watch some more. TV can be quite enriching, and I'll have you know that some of the best historians in the country are watching The Wire and Big Bang Theory instead of the History Channel. I am sure some of them are Firefly fans too :)

P.S.
Here is a link to a hilarious parody of the History Channel. It's South Park, so it will not only waste your time, but fill up your head with images you probably will never be able to delete. Enjoy!

Let me clarify...I do watch some fluff type things. (Love Harry's Law (a reincarnation of Boston Legal) & have an affinity for Judge Judy/People's Court.) But it has to grab my attention or else I start thinking of the other things I need/want to do. ;-)

Doesn't grab your attention!? Agghhh. Space cowboys flying around in a ship with a glowing butt. What's not to like?
LOL. No worries. I know others who never got into the show either.

Man, you and my husband both with the Judge Judy/Judge shows. I don't know what it is about them that captures his attention. He likes TV he can yell at/talk to.

Yeow, that sort of TV captures my attention like a car wreck. It's horrible, but you just can't turn away. :) I try to avoid as much as possible...

If you skip over the former boyfriends suing former girlfriends (and vice versa) and the people who got their friend a cell phone, you've pretty much skipped over 50% of the cases. The rest, I tend to consider educational tv. :) IE, as a landlord, I learned we need to send (within X number of days, certified/return receipt) a breakdown of how much (if any) security a former renter gets back. Or walk around your car & check for damage before leaving a car wash lot/valet parking. Stuff like that. Yeah.

My husband is also a fan of the "World's <blankiest> <blank>" variety. I totally don't get the fascination. And I'm a New Yorker - we invented rubbernecking.

Judge Judy? Meh. I did a google search and found out why some Evangelists like the show. I see something in common.

Judge Judy quote:
I don't care what you think! *I'm* the one who has to determine what is fair.

Judge Judy quote:
[yelling] I don't believe you!

Judge Judy quote:
If you live to be a hundred, you will never be as smart as me. On your BEST day, you're not as smart as *I* am on my WORST day.

I really needed this last set of posts. ROFL and very glad my coffee has not finished brewing yet.
Add me to the Firefly fan set. And yeah, if you like the series, then don't miss Serenity as well. It is the epilogue to the series.

Judge Judy taught me one thing: ask for paperwork (receipts), keep the paperwork, and have witnesses to as much as possible. Evernote can help with a lot of this :)

Dunno. Watching Judge Judy for educational purposes sounds a lot like reading Playboy for the articles. Or watching the old McLaughlin Group for the scintillating political commentary (it was really about Jack Germond and Robert Novak doing their mud-wresting act).
