Alias or shortcut directly to notebook?

This is probably a longshot, but it can't hurt to ask... Is there any way to make Finder Alias that can jump you directly into a specific Notebook?

I'll bet there's a way to do this using AppleScript, but I am not a Mac user, so I don't know for sure (there's a way to do it in Windows, using the ENScript program)

Ok folks here you go:

-track where the file is on your hard drive : (ex: /Users/YourFilePath/)

-go to evernote and select the text you want your link on and press CMD+K

-enter your URL in the following format : file:///Users/YourFilePath/

-press ok

- enjoy the magic!

I made a Mac os X service if your too lazy like me to type the "file:///" and then pasting your path

So now you select the folder you want to link inside evernote then right click and select the "Copy Path" service from the drop-down menu. Open evernote and select your link text inside your note and press CMD+k (or right click +link +add...) paste your link with CMD+V and press done.

Your method works for linking to a finder item from a note, but I think what we're looking for is a way to link to a note (or notebook) from finder.

2 year bump! I just Googled this question again, and was led here... It took me two minutes to realize it was my own thread.

 

In any case, still seeking an answer for this – Can I create a Finder Alias on the Mac, which will open a specific Evernote Notebook (or Note)?

Here's a way to do it. It's a little convoluted and only works for notes:

 

1. Select the note you want to make an alias to

2. From the Note menu, select 'Copy Note Link'

3. Launch Automator (/Applications/Automator)

4. If a new document window is not already visible, type cmd-N to create one

5. When asked to choose a type for your document, choose application

6. From the list of actions, find 'Run Shell Script' and double click it

7. In the text area of your Run Shell Script action, type 'open evernote:///view/31415...' (using the link you copied in step 2)

8. From the File menu, select Save… and give it the name and location you want

 

Now when you click your newly created application it should open your note.

@Browncoat: how does that work? The link I get (https://www.evernote.com/shard/blabla..../) can't be opened by evernote.  You placed "31415..", is there a specific part of the link that goes there? I've tried all parts between / /  separately but none work (EN says: can't open this link).

Yeah, this doesn't work anymore, because now "copy note link" give you a link to the website, and not the custom URL to the note in the mac app. How can we get this functionality back?

Control-click on the note to bring up the context menu, hold down the option key and select "Copy Classic Note Link".

2. Right click (control click) the note, press and hold down option, select 'Copy Classic Note Link' from the Note menu 

 

3. Open Safari and past the link into the address bar, you do not have to press enter just paste it in.

 

4. Drag the icon that is to the left of the link to the desk top/folder
